Our Story

Remembering God's faithfulness in the past inspires us to grow toward the future He has planned for us
The story of International Harvest Church in Newcastle traces its roots back to the 1950’s and a desire to see the Holy Spirit at work in the lives of the people of Newcastle. The church, established at the time by Pastor Harrison, grew in number and later became known as International Harvest Church, with influences from the House Church movement in the 70’s and 80’s, Salt & Light ministries in the south of England and the G12 cell church model from Colombia. Pastors César and Claudia Castellanos and their UK team continue to be a support and inspiration.
Our church has been shaped by a group of leaders committed to encountering God’s presence through His Spirit and making disciples who are radically faithful to Jesus. Today we gather people from across Tyneside both on a Sunday and in locations across the city midweek in our City Groups.
Our story certainly isn’t finished yet, and we look forward to all that God will continue to do in us and through us. We count it a joy to be a part of what God is doing here in the North East.
