Kids groups
At Harvest Church we bring our kids into the worship with us from the start of the meeting. It's a great feeling for families to focus on God together, and for parents to demonstrate and include their children in moments of devotion. It also helps our children learn truths about God's nature and goodness that can stay with them for years ahead. It won't always work (and there's plenty of space and grace for snacks and colouring etc!), but we are a church that loves the life that kids bring and we support each other in raising our kids in faith.
After worship our toddlers and pre-schoolers head downstairs for their Harvest Kids session which includes a dedicated play space, snacks and Bible themed craft and stories, led by a dedicated nurturing team.
School aged children from Year 1 to Year 6 head upstairs for a short Bible based input, discussion in school-aged groups, crafts, games and the snack bar, led by a creative, fun team.
Every member of our Kids Church team is DBS approved and completing Level 1 Child Safeguarding training. You can find out more about our safeguarding process here.
Children must be registered in our ChurchSuite system at the start or middle of the meeting (registration can be found in the foyer) which provides an information sticker and paired collect ticket for our younger children, and a wristband for our older children. (Phone numbers and medical information is necessary).
Visiting families are welcome to join in or not as they feel comfortable - and any child who'd like to return to their parent at any point of the meeting can do so.
We also provide a space in the foyer where the message is shown on a screen for those parents who want to be with their children in a more relaxed environment.
